A convent was started at Karimannoor on 1st January 1937. Rev. Fr. Kuriakose Kandathil was the Vicar who took initiative to start this convent at Karimannoor.  The 1st Superior of the convent was Rev. Mother Mariance (EKM).  We have an Orphanage (Karunalayam)where to shelter the poor and orphan girls and give them education.  Now we have a Tailoring School, Nursery and a C.B.S.E.  School.  The Patron of this convent is Mary Immaculate. We are fortunate to celebrate  the Platinum Jubilee of this convent  on  January 4, 2012.
