With the intention of conducting a Social Service Centre Mr. and Mrs. A.J.ThomasEdapazhathil donated a land of 58 cents to our Province. Accordingly, there established a convent and a Social Centre under the patronage of St. Joseph.  The Provincial Superior Sr.Gracy took initiative and the convent was blessed on 28th February 1989 by Mar George Punnakkottil, the Bishop of Kothamangalam.

       Now a Nursery school, a tailoring school,vestment making,and a readymade centre are functioning well.About 70 poor girls are given work here.  The 1st superior of this convent was Rev.Sr.Prasad.
